Thanks, I have felt not so alone with this issue after the session
I found the call very supportive
Reassuring to hear others facing uncertainties and dilemmas – rather than feeling everyone bar you is “perfect”!
Feels a really safe environment in which to express self-doubt and generate ideas on how to get out of ‘stuck’ coaching situations. It’s very well-structured so everyone is heard. I’ve never left a supervision session without feeling more confident and more supported than before. It’s an energising experience, intellectually and emotionally.
Thank you. It was a thoughtful and supportive session.
I liked being included in a group of like minded people. Receiving feedback and having the opportunity to hear from other coaches in practice.
Yet again another very useful group supervision call (even having the session in the diary was helpful as it prompted my further reflection on the issue!). Great value gained from the collective inputs of other coaches sharing they’re similar experiences and things they’ve tried. All within the open and supportive space that Michelle creates.
I liked the input of others, learning from their experiences
The collective wisdom in the group was empowering, engaging and enabling!! I felt like a better coach as soon as I stepped out of there but also normal – it was great to hear that we are grappling with similar issues as we develop our coaching no matter what level of experience we had
The key for me was that I was made to feel that I was in a safe, secure and supportive environment where I could express my thoughts, fears, opinions freely
Very thoughtful inputs from the other professional coaches
It was great …. Huge learning for me
A good reminder for me not be so hard on myself if I can’t do what I thought I could in the time span – it will impact on the time I allocate with clients in future
I really feel I get added value from Michelle’s facilitated group supervision coaching sessions. I don’t only get to learn from my own experiences, but also from those of other coaches.
Really interesting cases with common themes
Having enlightening and beneficial 121 coaching supervision with Michelle for a number of years, I was unsure and unclear about joining group supervision. Now having experienced three sessions I would really recommend them. Michelle skilfully navigates the group through the process ensuring we all have the opportunity to participate fully. Using a structured directive approach when appropriate Michelle encourages questions and exploration that reveal insights for participants. I gain rich and valuable insights that certainly improve my practice
I liked the openness of the discussion and the structure of the session. Everyone had their little slot, which was great.
It felt a supportive and constructive group. The session was well-structured with plenty of time for everyone’s thoughts
Thoroughly enjoyed the session which felt very collaborative and generous
This was a hugely worthwhile supervision session. The small number of participants (four) made for an intimate and ‘safe’ space for people to share and discuss issues. The learning gained was as much from insights on other coach’s issues as the feedback I received on mine. The approach used by Michelle provides just the right amount of structure to allow everyone to participate and contribute equally, while at the same time feeling informal, relaxed and supportive. Michelle harnesses the knowledge of the coaches on the call to draw out different perspectives, and weaves her own observations skillfully into the mix. I’d recommend these sessions to any coach
For the case I brought I felt as if I’d had chance to spring clean rather than do a quick tidy and polish.
I was extremely impressed with the telephone coaching supervision session. I found it ran smoothly and was conducted in a very respectful manner allowing each person to be heard, to contribute and also receive valuable suggestions for improvement their own practice. The session was very informative and followed a well structured process which maintained your interest. I gained new ideas and strategies, thus fostering new ‘theory-based’ techniques which I have already observed as being affective with my clients
I found the session to be honest, safe and authentic – I liked being able to learn from other cases not only my own
I was a little apprehensive before my first supervision call as I didn’t really know what to expect. The level of support from the other coaches on the call, and especially from Michelle, soon put me at ease though. It’s great to know that we share some of the same challenges and really helpful to get ideas and input from others.
There was a great atmosphere of supportiveness, the call was well facilitated as usual and I liked the humour and personal touch !
I’ve experienced a number of the group telephone coaching sessions with Michelle and they are always a valuable investment of time. No exception this month, an intimate group of four coaches all at different stages of their own development having the opportunity to share the things that make us curious about own own developing practice. I learn more from the meta reflection afterwards than from my own issue discussed on the call. It’s a safe, non-judgemental approach, lots of support and importantly insightful challenges from Michelle. I get to practice my active listening skills, listening at a deep level, becoming aware of an incisive question and contributing in a stimulating community of learning. I look forward to the sessions, I find them replenishing and it’s a privilege sharing that hour and a half with fellow coaches who have the humility to share their own challenges, stories and insights.
A really useful 1.5 hours that absolutely flew! I’ll be back for more
The supervision was extremely useful as a forum to share ideas, discuss challenges and gain insights from the other coaches.
The meeting was well structured and lots of consideration has gone into timings in providing everyone ‘a turn’, fair opportunity, with lots of support for the issues raised
Coaching can be a very lonely task where the coach never sees the client’s final achievements, so the supervision sessions was a great way to interact with like-minded professionals, and provide positive praise and feedback to each other.
Very useful session. Helped me realise how easy it is to ‘sweep certain things under the carpet’ when working with people. Rather than turn a blind eye, this call helped me realise how I can face up to difficult and challenging conversations as well as how to contract in the future to help prevent or at least make such difficult situations easier to negotiate.
Great to interact with other coaches and hear their views
I liked sharing ideas and gaining new ideas and approaches, supervision always produces some positives – thank you
Michelle’s group sessions are great. I find listening to other coaches just as valuable as discussing my own cases. She facilitates a highly supportive environment amongst fellow coaches. However experienced and effective we think we are, Michelle’s probing questions and observations will uncover new learning and perspectives.”
Another great session – really useful inputs from the group and great insights from Michelle plus the advantage of being able to learn from and help others with their issues
I found Michelle’s facilitation created a very safe and supportive environment to explore our experiences and I enjoyed the sessions very much – thank you.
What I love about the group supervision calls is how much you learn about yourself and can apply to your own client cases by listening to other’s cases, as well as sharing your own! Michelle facilitates the discussions brilliantly allowing you plenty of time to process what’s being said and extract the most value from it
Everyone brought a case and each one was useful for my own professional development which was more than I expected
Really value the open sharing of ideas and techniques
I always leave Michelle’s group supervisions sessions feeling I can be more brave and honest in my coaching. They are a tremendous support and a safe haven for reflective thinking
Michelle facilitated the session really well – letting people contribute and not rushing in. The session found its own path and I came away with new ideas and insight.
Liked the diversity of those taking part
I enjoyed sharing the experience and gaining the feedback. Others have struggles in the private sector as I do in the public
The biggest impact is that I felt more professional from just engaging with supervision on a more formal basis – this is going to be a key strand to my development as a professional coach
I thought the experience was fantastic as I wasn’t sure about the not being able to see body language etc. Very interesting and I would love to do this again
I liked Michelle’s proactive and professional style and a supportive open group
I always find Michelle to be an excellent group facilitator, who manages remote groups within tight time boundaries incredibly well. It seems when Michelle facilitates there is always time enough to explore and discover more, yet we stay on track and everything gets covered.
It was nice to have just three coaches for a change and to hear more of Michelle’s input
Valued the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas and observations with a “chair” supervisor
Time flew by, very useful with Michelle “holding” the space for our discussion. Thank you.
Michelle controlled the group well and in a way that felt natural and not forced. She also gave some really useful input based on her extensive experience.
This was my first session and I must admit that I did find the anonymity of the session a little strange. I will reflect further on what this says about me as much as the process! I felt the session was very well managed by you Michelle and you established rapport over the telephone very well. Thank you.
Your capacity to tap into the key issues and to provide non-judgemental and practical suggestions was very empowering
The call was interesting and it was a nice experience for people to express difficulties and then to hear various responses. It was good to hear the issues being talked through and the varying styles and information unfold.
I really enjoyed it and learned lots
These sessions are always a great opportunity to reflect on some of the undercurrents going on around my coaching practice that would otherwise not surface. Even in the short time we had to review my individual question, new insights and understanding emerged that has given me way forward. Plus as a bonus, everyone else’s situations and questions as usual, had relevance for me and meant I got to reflect on things I hadn’t even thought of bringing along
The session helped me to reconnect to who I am as a coach, it raised my confidence levels by sharing often mutual problems/issues
As a result of my first group supervision with Michelle, I would be more likely to use this approach in the future – I was a bit skeptical before
Professionally, it was wonderful to work with experienced coaches and to learn from their expertise.
The group supervision experience felt very collaborative to me. I was supported by the others and also Michelle and was reassured that many of our challenges are not unique, but in fact fairly common!. I would certainly recommend the Group Supervision to others who are thinking about their supervision options.
I enjoy the sharing and interaction with other coaches. always good to hear coaching language and thinking and methodology. I think the structure around the call works well
Useful to talk through my conflict of interest issues with independent people who aren’t connected in any way
I really value the group coaching sessions: not only does it allow you the space to analyse your own coaching, it’s great being able to share and be involved in the groups cases, it’s affirming and supportive
This group supervision continues to develop my self-awareness and supports my ability to be reflexive in the moment with the client.
really valued your capacity to bring an open and calm working environment
Things are so hectic it’s difficult to find time to reflect. That’s why the time on the call is so useful
The sessions are quite wonderful and I am honoured to be among such esteemed colleagues. Our discussions are fuelling ideas and reflections for my work with coaching clients and with coaches. Thank you! ?
I am grateful for all the support Michelle provided during the supervision sessions. She came across personable and professional with lots of useful knowledge and suggestions. I would like to work with her again.
Another insightful group supervision session with Michelle. I always come away with more to think about to refine and improve my coaching practice.
I liked everything ! well structured and good balance between challenge & support – thanks
Abundant sharing of ideas in an encouraging environment
time well spent and cost effective
Always interesting and useful to learn with peers
I really enjoy learning other’s stories and helping to contribute.
Others input helped me to be comfortable in dealing with a potential issue…other people’s issues always have relevance to my own coaching practice, so hearing and discussing theirs also impacts my own coaching practice.
I enjoyed having another’s perspective on my thinking/planning
The benefit of gaining multiple perspectives in a group supervision environment is very powerful. I am more able to take a balanced view of the situation, take on the feedback/input and pick out the bits that work for me.
Michelle is so skilled in supporting and directing group supervision, drawing out rich feedback when reviewing cases and reflecting on what could be done differently
Another great supervision call. Having the space to deepen my thinking in preparation for a new client and the inputs of others was really very useful. Not only valuable but a very enjoyable experience being in great company!
It reminded me how much I still have to learn as a coach but also how far I have come in the past few years
Really useful insights – its helped me create my coaching style bio.
I learn a little bit more about myself as coach with every supervision session so it’s an essential part of me providing a professional coaching service
The group supervison provides a really supportive environment in which to explore whatever you need to. Michelle facilitates in a way that allows flow of discussion within a clear framework so the fact we are meeting virtually doesn’t dimish the sense of group or support. The prep she asks of participants also really gets me reflecting ahead of the session which is a bonus. The opportunity to connect with other coaches from broad backgrounds, to learn from them, contribute your own ideas and hear we all have similar challenges at times is another aspect the supervision brings and I really value. I encourage you to give it to try!
I find the calls a really supportive place where I can be honest about my coaching or concerns – it’s the valuable insights shared by the group which give multiple perspectives.
Another useful and interesting session – and always interesting how each person’s issue connects and themes emerge
It’s interesting even when I’m not sure which topic to bring to the call I always find the session helpful
I found the support of the two co-supervisees particularly helpful and to be able to draw on and contribute to resolving their challenges too.
Always look forward to the group supervision calls facilitated by Michelle. Today’s session was as usual, full of valuable insights offered by fellow participants not just on my own case but in sharing thoughts and reflections on all the cases discussed. A regular and valuable learning activity which is replenishing and affirming as well as constructively challenging and reminds you that you are not alone and can be part of a generous and capable learning community.
The call gave me greater confidence in trusting my own judgement when clients are facing the same dilemmas I have faced. To honour their space, and at the same time, offer support from my own experience.
The session brought another step in ongoing self awareness
As a supervisor, Michelle is insightful and respectful. With respectfulness, she helps me explore the client case studies I bring to supervision in a way that feels right to me offering a choice of methods and models. With insightfulness, she always offers another way of looking at my client and the dynamics between us / the wider system, helping me notice what I may not have noticed for myself, in a collaborative and supportive way so I never feel undermined or embarrassed for not seeing this before, but inspired and positively refreshed from the experience. I AWAYS go away with new ideas and actions that make a difference to my practice.
It was reassuring that the puzzles that I am facing particularly around defining the type of coach I am, is a common theme
The group supervision with Michelle gave me the courage to seek feedback from my client. In my last meeting with my client they said ‘the coaching was brilliant’ – what a lovely affirmation to receive...
I liked the option to use different models for each person’s case and that you had provided a range to choose from.
Good food for thought about taking the reins back in this coaching relationship
Thanks again for another useful session – nice to have the opportunity to reflect with others.
I welcomed the ego-less contributions made and received with a shared curiosity
I look forward to the supervision sessions with Michelle and always find I come away with insights and ideas for further reflection. It’s a positive support and challenge experience with fellow coaches and a constructive way of opening your practice to scrutiny.”
My first group supervision, it was well structured … i like the ability to choose which feedback style you adopt for each case
A real opportunity to reflect on my coaching
