Supervision

Who you are, is how you coach.

Coaching can be a lonely profession. No-one is else is there when you are working with your client. Supervision provides a safe reflective space to review your work. At greenfields we do not hold judgement on whether you are directive or non-directive, technique focused or emergent in your approach. Our goal is to help you achieve congruency between the articulation of your model of coaching and how you deliver it. As we work together on your own developmental or restorative issues we will help ensure that the client is never too far from your mind. You can be assured of the quality of our work as Michelle is an Accredited Coaching Supervisor with the Association for Coaching.

Individual supervision

This is most helpful for reviewing your work in depth. You determine the pace and intensity of the coaching supervision you receive, based on the demands of your coaching portfolio. Sessions are typically of 90 minutes and can be held over the phone/skype or in person. This service is available for both independent and internal coaches.

Flexible Group Supervision

This is most helpful for reducing the sense of professional isolation, for sharing experiences and for generating a diversity of options in your client work. Group size is limited to 4 coaches and the sessions are typically of 90 minutes over the phone. Each coach gets dedicated attention for the work they bring. Sessions run monthly, except for August and December, on the 2nd Friday of the month. You may attend as many or as few as you like. This means that you will work with a variety of coaches over the course of a year. This service is available for both independent and internal coaches.

Fixed Group Supervision

This is most helpful for a sense of continuity over time. As the professional relationship of the group deepens, so too does the depth of your reflections. Group size is limited to 6 coaches and the sessions are typically of 3 hours when meeting face to face and 2 hours over the phone. Each coach gets dedicated attention for the work they bring. Five sessions run across the year (2 face to face and 3 virtually) coaches are expected to attend a minimum of 4. Diary dates are determined according to the availability of the group members. You work with the same coaches each time throughout the course of a year. This service is available for both independent and internal coaches.

Supervision retreats

This is an opportunity to stop, reflect on your work, reconnect with your coaching purpose and renew your energies. Our retreats take place in Weymouth on the Jurassic Coast, working with a small group of coaches. Take time out from your regular commitments and dedicate two days to focus on your coaching practice and your coaching business.! We run a general development retreat and two themed retreats, one which focuses on Accreditation/Credentialing and one which focuses on Reflective Writing. This service is available for both independent and internal coaches.

I was a little apprehensive before my first supervision call as I didn’t really know what to expect. The level of support from the other coaches on the call, and especially from Michelle, soon put me at ease though. It’s great to know that we share some of the same challenges and really helpful to get ideas and input from others.

I found the supervision to be really helpful in understanding how to apply coaching theory practically with my clients. Michelle is a great supervisor who is good at challenging my assumptions and developing my understanding of coaching psychology
