Which way now? workshops
Following the success of my third series of three workshops for job seekers I am pleased to say that I will running another series! Listening to people's feedback it was clear that the value of sharing experiences is compelling. As with the previous series, the workshops provide a mixture of pre-work, group discussion and individual support from Michelle.
These workshops are held at Newbury’s Corn Exchange and are ideal for anyone wanting to re-evaluate their career satisfaction. Whether you’ve recently been made redundant or you’re employed but hankering after a new challenge, these workshops will help focus you for success. With only 8 places available we ensure individual attention and the opportunity to easily discuss ideas with others. Book one or the entire series, its up to you!
To help you understand whether this programme is right for you there is a Taster teleconference that will introduce you to the programme
Taster Workshop: 12:30 – 1:30pm via teleconference
Thursday 20th May 2010
During the taster workshop you will experience how group coaching works and get the opportunity to complete a short psychometric test which will give you insight into your overall career motivations.
Workshop 1 : Sunday May 30th : 2:00 – 5:00pm
Learning from our past : This workshop uses group coaching to help you uncover how your past career experience can guide your future career choices. As a group we will explore your personal values and do a “stock take” of different elements of your life to give context to your future career choices. Specifically you will be guided through an exercise which will reveal useful data about what has motivated you (or not!) in the past. From this it we will help you create a picture of your ideal job
Workshop 2 : Sunday June 27th : 2:00 – 5:00pm
Exploring your options : Often the challenge of finding your next role is confused because there are so many avenues open to you. Using a psychometric test (the MBTI) we will explore how you can achieve a better level of satisfaction by making career choices that suit your personality. Through group coaching you will share ideas on how existing skills could be transferable. Finally, this workshop helps you organise your options into low / medium / high risk strategies so that you can determine an approach that is right for you.
Workshop 3 : Sunday July 25th : 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Marketing yourself for the future : This workshop helps you create a personal marketing plan. Using group coaching you will be able to re-frame the negatives you perceive in your self and create a strong and authentic personal profile. Working in a confidential and safe environment, you have the opportunity to develop your answers to those interview questions you dread. Giving and receiving feedback in this small group you are able to pick up many hints and tips from your peers so that you can leave with a clear plan for action.
Prices :
Taster workshop £5:00
Half Day Workshop £35:00 each or £99 for all 3
So how does it work?Group coaching sessions are limited to 8 participants. This ensures there is plenty of time for everyone to take part in the discussion and allows people to raise individual questions with Michelle. Participants are asked to work in the spirit of confidentiality and to offer constructive advice to others.
How is the time structured? Each workshops will provide you with two exercises to help structure your thinking. After brief introductions Michelle will introduce you to the exercise and allow you some thinking time – then as a group insights and problems are shared and discussed. If you are the kind of person that likes to prepare, you may request the exercises in advance so that you can prepare more fully. Prior to the workshop close there will be some time to develop action plans and/or ask for individual support from Michelle.
Our next workshop are being held on Sunday May 30th ; Sunday June 27th ; Sunday July 25th
Six of the eight places are for employed people and cost £35 per workshop or £99 for all 3 – the remaining two places are reserved for unemployed job seekers and are provided without charge. This is part of greenfields contribution to the local community.
Just imagine what someone could gain from these group coaching sessions ... new ideas, clear focus, an action plan and new contacts !! So if you, or someone you know could benefit ... help us pass the opportunity on!
